Go outside and use natural materials to create your own civilization. What will you use to build structures? How will eat? How can you use nature to create art, music and technology? OR use materials around your house and in the recycling to create your own civilization.

Listen to the Sinixt story How The Huckleberry Came To Kettle Falls. The Sinixt are the Indigenous Peoples who have lived on this land for thousands of years. Huckleberries were a major food source for the Sinixt and they came to Rossland in the summer and fall to pick the berries.

Using your build of the civilization you created tell us about who lives there. What type of natural resources do you have? What games do you play? What food do you eat? How does your society work? Who is in charge? The graphic organizer below can help you plan.
